The infamous exploding bridge, here in all of its glory! Just note that a lot of these summaries are quite brief, as most of the levels are very similar to the NES version. |
This is where the level first begins to look different. Believe if or not, this is
practically at the end - the arcade stages are really short compared to the NES ones.
The usual bombardment of bad guys and bullets protect this fortress. Except, the first
level isn't technically over yet...
Now to hop to the 3D stages! Except now there's a time limit, and you sorta have to follow
a map and choose which way to go. This is a really pointless task, thankfully done away with
in the home conversion.

After blowing away all of these guys, the elevators will conveniently take you up to
the next level.
Just keep climbing up. This is mostly the same as the NES version too....
...except this looks a LOT cooler. Except it's purple and instead of being scary, it ends
up being a bit silly.
It's time once again to conquer these daft maze corridors. Those boxes are quite annoying -
they serve as cover for the bad guys. They can be blown up, at least.
The defense system is the same as it ever was, with some alien guard to help its killing
procedures.
